Driveway Permit

This permit is required for any private access to a county road.  Driveways for new homes, field drives, or commercial developments will require application and approval of a driveway permit.

Special Hauling Permit

This permit is required for any vehicle or equipment traveling across or along any county road that exceeds legal weight or size requirements.  Two types of special hauling permits are needed depending on hauling activities.  A trip permit allows a one time move within a two week period, while a posted road permit authorizes travel during the “frost law” period to travel county roads posted at a 30% weight reduction, which is designated between January 25 and April 30.

Right of Way Permit

This permit is required for utilities or private individuals who wish to perform work within the county road right-of-way.  This permit applies to companies installing electric, gas, water, sewer, phone or communication lines across or along a county road.
